-All She Wanted-

She was nice
She didn't want much
She was kind
But she was thrown in the dump

She smiled through her heartaches
Even though it tore her apart
She would try cheer up your day
When her day was the darkest form of dark

She wanted to be remembered
As the cheerful, unfazed
Not the girl who was screaming inside
So she hid her true face

Years after which
After old wounds finally healed
She saw him walking on the streets
Glancing downwards at his heels

Years of heartbreak
Years of condenced heartache
Spilling out onto the pavement
Flooding out from her wounded soul

That was when she couldn't hold in
She tried, she really did
But she clawed at thin air
She cried and could no longer hide

Finally after the tears had stemmed
There he was
Holding out a helping hand
Helping her to her feet

There he was
Smiling down at her tearful face
Shocked as she was
She couldn't bring herself to look

There he was
Helping her up
There he was
Smiling like nothing was wrong

He was back
And he would never let go again
He was back
And he would never leave her again

--End~
