-I hear a little tear-

I Hear a little Tear

I heard a little tear roll down
Was it mine or was it yours?
We're both aching the same pain
We're both on the same plane

I'm happy to see you again
But you don't seem so glad
Was it something I did
Or was it something I once said?

Is it because we are not the friends we once were
Is it because you changed?
Once we were the best of friends
Once we were the undivided sisters

We're just pretending aren't we?
I knew you too well
That fake smile of yours
That light twinkle in your eyes

You always confided in me
I always told you everything
We were impossible to seperate
But as we're talking we're both fake

I have to face the truth now
We were never as good as I thought
I thought we'd last forever
The spark in our friendship would never suffer

I was wrong
The spark blew out
Now you're leaving
You really don't want to see me

I can hear a little tear
It's definitely mine
I can see your retreating back
I can see resentment in your steps

I can hear a little tear
I can tell it's mine
Because you are walking away
And you no longer care
